In the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd, I have, to date, raised over $20,000.00.  I used this money to buy medical supplies, groceries, diapers, feminine products and culturally-appropriate hair care products.  I facilitated the placement of three multigenerational families into safe hotels away from the cities.

A place that I has absolutely inspired and motivated me is Hope Street Shelter. Hope Street is located one block from where the murder of George Floyd occurred. This shelter provides emergency and intensive case management services for youth and young adults. Residents are not made to leave when they turn 18, like so many other organizations are forced to do.
